What to expect and how to prepare
The Australian Dental Association recommends a child's first dental visit by their first birthday, or when their first tooth appears. Early visits help us catch problems before they start and get your child comfortable with the dentist.
For very young or nervous children, the first visit might just be a "ride in the chair" to get them used to the environment. There's no rush.
