Defence Health No Longer Partnered with Smile.com.au
As of April 1, 2020, Defence Health is no longer a Smile.com.au partner health fund. However, Central Brisbane Dental has chosen to continue providing the same discounted fees (15-40% off) to all Defence Health members. You still receive these discounts automatically when you present your Defence Health card - no Smile card needed.

Exclusive benefits for defence community members
Defence Health members receive 15 to 40 percent discount off our normal fees. This discount applies automatically when you present your Defence Health card - no additional membership needed.
We process your Defence Health card through HICAPS, and they pay us directly. If you have Extras Premier, Value Top Extras or ADF Total Package cover, you get no gap on six monthly check-ups, cleaning and preventive fluoride treatment.
Understanding your benefits and coverage
When you receive dental treatment at Central Brisbane Dental, Defence Health will pay us directly the amount that they cover when we process your health fund card through our HICAPS terminal. You only have to pay the gap amount if there is one.
If you have Defence Health Extras Premier, Value Top Extras or ADF Total Package cover, then you have no gap amount for your six monthly check-up, cleaning and preventive fluoride treatment up to your annual limits.
There may be an out-of-pocket charge for other treatments beyond preventive care, but this amount is greatly reduced as you receive a 15 to 40 percent discount off our normal fees.
